Reflection on a Famous Quote – March 19th, 2012, Quote, by Danny J. Stevens

“He is a wise man who does not grieve for the things which he has not, but rejoices for those which he has.”

~ Epictetus

This is the spirit of gratitude!  Jack Canifield , one of the founders of Chicken Soup for the Soul uses the term , “The attitude of gratitude.”   To be grateful for what we have brings more into our lives. If you adopt the attitude of gratitude, you find ways to be grateful for all things in your life.

Bob Proctor starts his visualization with gratitude.   He teaches to start the affirmations with, “I am so happy and grateful now that _____.”  By appreciating what we have more will be brought in to our lives.

Tony Robbins uses his “Hour of Power” where while exercising time is spent being grateful for everything in our lives.  Some people has used Gratitude list and made it a daily practice to do this.  Some have joined Gratitude clubs where they share what they are grateful for each and every day.  One that I found, use, and want to share with you is http://www.gratitudelog.com/login it is from a student of Bob Proctor.

This also reminds me of the quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer, “We never regret what we do; only what we don’t do.”   Be thankful for all things.   We cannot change the past.  Learn to live in the now.  We may or may not have more days.  What we do have is now.   How many things can you be grateful for today?
