I thought I Saw by Danny J. Stevens

Today is about becoming aware of a process called the Reticular Activating System (RAS).  We have all experienced RAS.  It happens when someone asks you to notice the blue cars on the road, or those wearing white.   What may have been filtered out of your conscious mind now is noticed.

Our mind must filter out signals as we cannot see, hear, touch , smell  or feel  everything there is possibly out in the world to see.  The volume of information if left unfiltered would drive us mad if there was not a way to focus our attentions.  The RAS is the mechanism used to focus our thoughts.

You can think of a particular item and your mind will now be filtering to be aware of this item.  You can play with this and master it to help every day.
