A Spirit of Increase by Danny j. Stevens

Day 29 of the Giant Steps into 2012

Contribution and growth are two of six human needs.   As our needs are fulfilled we begin to learn and grow past urgency of taking care of our own needs.  This is hard to imagine if you struggling with the bills and working hard to keep a roof over your head and food on the table.  However, some things just do not take much in terms of resources and yet your growth is increased as well as your sense of contribution.

Greeting people with a smile, a kind word, a silent blessing, or a kind act cost only pride, if it cost that.  What can you do today where you can impact someone’s life?   When you do this reflect on how this made you feel.  Take out your hardbound journal and write a paragraph on what you did and how it made you feel.

It is so easy to get caught up in life that we fail to realize we are not alone and there are other who experience the same things we do.  Try to add value to their life by just being kind.  In the “Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace Wattles, he states it this way, “leave everyone you come in to contact with, with the feeling of increase.”    The spirit of giving more than you receive, will leave you with the feeling of increase and more.
