Reflection on a Famous Quote – March 7th, by Danny J. Stevens

“Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it…  That is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear.”

Dale Carnegie

We all remember Dale Carnegie for either his work on business courses, specifically, “How to win friends and influence people.”  Dale also created courses on Public Speaking.  However, prior to his success Dale used his philosophy to become a top salesperson in a sparse area during a difficult economic time

Anyone will also tell you that the fear never leaves right away.  The voices of doubt or fear may even magnify before they are laid to rest.  This is where your old conditioning is in conflict with the new idea.  Dale is speaking of will power.  However, if you have not ingrained the need to reach your goal in your emotional make up, eventually you will return to the tried and true.  Have you ever heard that you must have a big enough why to reach your goals?  In order to get past where will leaves off, you must have an emotional tie to your dream or goal!
